During the first half of the webinar, presenters will describe the calving process and tell the participants what to do in case of difficulty.
The second half of the webinar will focus on disease diagnosis among young calves.
The main presenter will be Dr. Gerald Stokka, NDSU Extension veterinarian and livestock stewardship specialist.
The meeting is intended to be interactive, with time set aside for participants to ask questions of the presenters.
“We hope that by the end of the webinar, participants will be better equipped to distinguish between the problems they can handle themselves and those that need a veterinarian’s assistance,” says Gale.
The virtual meeting is free. Preregistration is required. Visit www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/extension/events/junior-beef-producers-winter-webinar to preregister.
Those who preregister will receive emailed instructions to participate in the meeting.
