The Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) strongly supports Rep. Angie Craig to serve as the lead Democrat on the House Agriculture Committee.
“Since she was elected to Congress in 2018, we have developed a strong working relationship with Congresswoman Craig,” MSGA President Darin Johnson said. “She understands how much agriculture matters to our economy, environment and national security, and we greatly appreciate that Rep. Craig is never afraid to reach across the aisle to find working solutions for producers.”
Rep. Craig, who was reelected in November to represent Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, has been a stalwart ally of agriculture throughout her three terms in Congress. Congresswoman Craig has a record of putting partisan politics aside to promote policies that benefit farmers, including strengthening rural America’s connections to federal programs and resources, advocating for a new Farm Bill and supporting the biodiesel tax credit. Her consistent advocacy for higher blends of biofuels earned Craig the title of “Biofuels Bulldog” by USDA Sec. Tom Vilsack.
“Angie Craig is a model for the kind of representative Minnesota needs in the U.S. House,” said MSGA Director Bob Worth, who served as president from 2022-2024. “She is on the side of farmers.”
