As the weather heats up, so does the interest in Alberta Pork’s regional meetings. If you’re looking for hot topics and warm welcomes, we’ve got you covered.

Given the impact of PED and other diseases on our industry of late, we have some timely talks from experts on pressing issues such as the use of blood plasma in feed, antibiotics, the Code of Practice and PED/SDCV updates. We’ll also have important updates on Alberta Pork programs and progress from Chairman Frank Novak and Executive Director Darcy Fitzgerald.

                        -Feed ingredients, evaluating the use of blood plasma and antibiotics and/or antimicrobials

                        -Meeting our code deadlines for pain mitigation and group housing

                        -Western Canadian Swine Health Intelligence Network (CSHIN) - Creating national surveillance

                        -PEDv and SDCV updates

5:15 – 5:30      Table top discussion

5:30 - 6:00       Chairman’s Report – Frank Novak

6:00                 Dinner
