Innovators Invited to Compete for $25,000 in Ag Innovations Competition

Jun 11, 2024

The 40th Anniversary of Agri-Trade Equipment Expo is set to open at Westerner Park in Red Deer from November 13 to 15, 2024. Join us for three days of exploring the newest equipment, technology, innovation, and services in the global agriculture industry at North America's premier event. This milestone anniversary will celebrate where we have been, where we are now and where are we going.

Each year, Agri-Trade is pleased to host our Ag Innovations Competition, showcasing the ingenuity and creativity of manufacturers and marketers of agricultural products and services. This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Ag Innovations program, and we can't wait to witness the ground-breaking ideas that the resilient agriculture industry will bring forward.

Agri-Trade is thrilled to announce that $25,000 in cash prizes will be awarded this year. Five finalists will compete live on stage for the prestigious $20,000 grand prize at the Agri-Trade Equipment Expo this November.  Producers will also have the opportunity to participate in selecting the winner of the "Farmers Choice Award," who will receive $5,000.

“Each year the Ag Innovations committee has a challenging task in selecting the five finalists from the pool of exceptional applications,” comments Craig Shaw, Ag Innovations Committee Chair. “The agriculture industry is so diverse the applicants come from all sectors and from all over the world.”

Krissy Fiddler, Agri-Trade Show Manager, expresses her enthusiasm, saying, "Our Ag Innovations Competition is Agri-Trade’s feature program. It focuses on solutions that improve farm efficiency and overall operations. We are excited to see the top five companies compete for top honors and the grand prizes of $25,000."

The application process is now open, and we invite and encourage companies from all ag sectors around the world to apply. The deadline for applications is July 22nd, 2024. If you know of a new product that can help improve the bottom line for producers, we want to hear about it.
