Hands Free Hectare: what was achieved, what was learned and what are the implications?

In Dublin this March, the award winning project, Hands Free Hectare (HFH), will be presented by the Project Lead Kit Franklin. HFH, an Innovate UK backed project, set out to achieve a world first: Using automated machines to grow the first arable crop remotely, without operators in the driving seats or agronomists on the ground, from planting to harvesting the barley crop.

After a successful year, running a fully automated farm, Kit will be discussing the implications of what has been achieved and how they’ve honed and improved the project to create a second successful harvest. The Hands Free Hectare showcases the potential of Precision Farming; don’t miss Kit Franklin as he shares his insights into the future of farming.
