Darryl Lacey, is a precision farming specialist from Delta Power Equipment. Darryl will provide an overview on the successes and lessons learned integrating the CASE IH AFS on farming operations. Precision agriculture experts from a number of farm equipment companies will be on hand to ensure that no matter what equipment farmers are using, they will be able to chat with experts to ensure they can maximize the potential of precision agriculture.
Unbiased college and government experts will also be on hand.
Mike Duncan is the NSERC precision agriculture chair at Niagara College. Doug Aspinall is senior soil scientist at OMAFRA. Nicole Rabe is the land resource specialist at OMAFRA; Mike will provide an overview of new Ontario software systems and the yield potential index to begin building management zones in your fields. Nicole and Doug will present an overview on developing management zones, integrating yield, landscape and soil information.
Weather plays such a key role in any farm’s successes or challenges, Ian Nichols business manager at Weather Innovations, will show you how to factor weather into precision agriculture.
