Before the forum, the Council’s delegation visited the Bozun Group, the largest importer of distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) in China, to learn about its DDGS-derived feed products, technological innovations and headwinds in promoting the use of imported DDGS in China.
During the convention, Shurson presented to nearly 50 animal nutritionists and leaders from top Chinese livestock and feed companies, industry associations and research institutions. Shurson’s message clarified that while CFP can disrupt amino acid balances in animal feed, it’s possible to add synthetic amino acids that optimize animal production performance, particularly at higher CFP inclusion rates.
Shurson was invited to give an expanded version of his presentation during a general session, allowing a broader audience of nearly 300 people to learn about the nutritional benefits of CFP.
Many industry stakeholders approached the Council’s delegation to express appreciation for the informative seminar and for the Council’s work in building a bridge of agricultural trade between the countries, including Shandong Feed Industry Association Secretary General Xiangshu Li.
