London, ON — Corteva Agriscience is pleased to announce that as part of its community investment program, the company has donated $10,000 to the Children’s Health Foundation supporting the best possible care at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.
The contribution from Corteva Agriscience will assist Children’s Hospital in their efforts to provide world-class patient and family-centred paediatric care to over 400,000 children in Western Ontario. The funds will also support the hospital’s continuing medical education program, as it serves as a major centre for medical research and a teaching hospital for physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
The contribution from Corteva was in addition to a $7,000 donation to Children’s Health Foundation made by Nick and Josh Vanderburgt from Vanderburgt Brothers – Pioneer sales representatives in Zurich, Ontario – who donated a portion of proceeds from each bag of Pioneer® brand seeds sold. Nick and Josh initiated the fundraising for Children’s Hospital and approached Corteva to inquire about matching their donation.
“We’re thrilled to be able to make this contribution to Children’s Health Foundation alongside our Pioneer sales representatives, Nick and Josh,” said Bryce Eger, President, Corteva Agriscience Canada. “Children’s Hospital provides vital health care and emergency services to families in Western Ontario, many of whom work in agriculture. This is one of the ways we are able to live our purpose of enriching lives and continue delivering on our sustainability commitment to keep those working in agriculture safe.”
