OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AgPR) -- Compass Minerals has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Produquímica, one of Brazil’s leading specialty plant nutrition companies. This acquisition adds Produquímica’s proven, high-quality products to Compass Minerals’ existing plant nutrition portfolio, which includes Protassium+ premium sulfate of potash and Wolf Trax DDP Nutrients.
This acquisition will impact North American farmers in two ways:
- Combining the U.S. and Brazilian R&D efforts, Compass Minerals will be able to conduct year-round evaluations of new products and technologies across both Northern and Southern hemispheres. North American farmers can expect to see the fruits of a stronger pipeline of innovative technologies.
- With multiple plants fully dedicated to manufacturing ag products, Compass Minerals’ manufacturing capacity expands.
Produquímica is pronounced Pro-du-kem-ê-cah.
