Canadian Angus Association Elects New Executive At AGM

A Saskatchewan rancher has been selected as President-Elect of the Canadian Angus Associaition.
 
Sheldon Kyle of Redvers  moves into the new role as Shawn Birmingham of Brandon, Manitoba moves into the role of President. 
 
Bob Hahn of Sherwood Park (Alberta) moves to the Past President position.
 
The new CAA Executive and Board was elected at the group's first virtual Annual General Meeting last week.
 
About 200 members and industry representatives registered for the meeting where they elected their new executive.
 
The organization had sustained a financial loss in 2018 after which the group found a number of cost-saving initiatives, and within a year moved to a net profit of over $220 thousand in 2019.
 
The AGM was recorded and is available for viewing on the Canadian Angus Association’s YouTube channel.
 
The Canadian Angus Association had to postpone this year's convention due to COVID-19, but announced that next year's Convention is scheduled for June 10-12, 2021 in Saskatoon.
