Business risk management was discussed at length at last week's Federal Provincial Territorial (FPT) Agriculture Ministers meeting.
Manitoba Agriculture Minister Ralph Eichler says all the ministers clearly felt it was important to continue risk management programs in Growing Forward Three, which will launch in 2018.
"Of course we also asked for increased funding on Growing Forward Three as well, we did not have a commitment to the dollars just yet, but as we go forward in the weeks and months coming, we're hoping that the federal minister will be able to share that with us," Eichler says.
