Alberta Canola Holds AGM

Alberta Canola Growers held their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday.

The group officially welcomed Charles Simoneau from Guy as a director for Region 3, while Wayne Schneider from Leduc will serve his second term as director for Region 6.

The group is still looking for representatives for Regions 9 and 12 and are asking individuals to submit their names.

Directors of Alberta Canola may serve two consecutive, three-year terms on the Board of Directors.

Kevin Serfas who served as the Board Chair has officially completed his 6 years at AlbertaCanola.

In a post on his Twitter account, he says he's taking more in terms of knowledge than he put in.

"Thanks to everyone for the opportunity to serve Alberta farmers. I will forever remember this time of my life."

The Board elects the Chair, Vice Chair, and Committees at the first Board Meeting after the Annual General Meeting.
