TORONTO  - 4-H Ontario and 4-H Canada are proud to celebrate 4-H alum, Lindsey Middleton, on the release of Cows Come Home, a lighthearted dramedy inspired by the impact of her 4- H experience. Cows Come Home will premiere on Bell Fibe TV1 on Wednesday, June 11. Cows Come Home is about a woman whose life falls apart causing her to move back home to her small town and with the help of her best friend, puts the pieces back together through the world of competitive cow showing. Lindsey grew up in Fort Erie, where she spent five years in the Bertie 4-H Dairy Club. In addition to starring as the main character in Cows Come Home, Lindsey co-produced and co-wrote the show alongside Katie Uhlmann, who directed all six episodes.

Upon ideation, Lindsey and Katie were quick to connect with 4-H to gather support from the organizations. 4-H Ontario and 4-H Canada did not produce, write or provide any creative direction for Cows Come Home; however, signed an agreement to allow 4-H’s name, logo and associated copyrights to be used in the show. When it came time to film, Lindsey and Katie borrowed 4-H branded items such as banners and tablecloths from 4-H Ontario to add authenticity to the set.

On June 2, 15 representatives from 4-H Ontario and 4-H Canada attended the premiere of Cows Come Home at the Hot Docs Cinema in Toronto. “On behalf of 4-H Ontario and 4-H Canada, I’d like to thank Lindsey and Katie for including us in their special night. It has been a pleasure being a small part of their journey and we wish them all the best with the release of Cows Come Home,” says Laura Goulding, Manager, Communications, 4-H Ontario.
