2014 Crop Budgets & Comparisons

The February 12 Southeast Farm Press notes a resource you may have interest.  The University of Georgia College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences has prepared a 2014 Crop Comparison Tool.  Click here.  You can compare budgets side-by-side for the following crops:  cotton, peanuts, corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, and wheat.  There are non-irrigated budgets and irrigated budgets.

Using Microsoft Excel versions, you can change yields, prices, input costs, etc. and quickly see how changes “affect the bottom line”.  Please remember these budgets are estimates/guides.  Enter your values.  That is what is important.
