During Question Period in the Ontario Legislative Assembly today, John Vanthof (MPP Timiskaming-Cochrane) pressed Agricultural Minister Jeff Leal for a response to farmer concerns regarding neonictinoid-treated seeds. Vanthof criticized the Ontario government’s seeming unwillingness to develop neonicotinoid seed regulations that would be effective when applied to Ontario farms.
