The world’s largest trade show dedicated to pork is back for another year of networking, training, education and more.

The World Pork Expo, put on by the National Pork Producers Council, will take place June 3-5, 2015 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.

The show will feature more than 100 exhibitors looking to bring pork producers the latest technologies to help their operations run smoothly while keeping the wellbeing of the animals in mind. Some of the exhibitors include Porc-Ex Breeding, Global Swing Exchange of Iowa, PigCHAMP and Wiechman Pig Co.Pigs on a farm

The 2015 World Pork Expo will bring nearly 20,000 producers and other professionals from all around the globe in one place. There are currently 41 countries scheduled to be represented at the Expo.

“World Pork Expo has evolved into a one-stop-shopping place for the newest equipment, software and technology-based products that help pork producers remain competitive in a global economy,” says Ron Prestage, D.V.M., NPPC president and South Carolina pork producer. “It also presents a great opportunity to interact with fellow producers and exchange ideas in an environment that is ideal for your entire team of employees.”

In addition to the exhibitors, there will be a series of PORK Academy seminars aimed at educating producers about changing regulations, market opportunities and PEDV management.

Attendees are encouraged to download the mobile app to enhance their experience at the Expo, and to use the hashtag #WPX15 to join the conversations on social media.

As of 2010, the top 10 pork-producing countries were:

  1. China
  2. European Union
  3. United States
  4. Brazil
  5. Russia
  6. Vietnam
