1366 people entered their names and Adam Bowman’s was chosen. He said the chainsaw is exactly what he needs.

Farms.com president Graham Dyer, left, presents Adam Bowman with a Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw.
“We’ll get a lot of use out of it,” he said while receiving the chainsaw from Farms.com president Graham Dyer.
Exactly where Adam Bowman will use the chainsaw is the donkey sanctuary of canada, where he’s the current Farm Manager.
“My responsibilities are the animals, their health, feeding and transportation,” he said, “I sit on our operations committee which makes decisions on intakes, staffing and inputs. I’m responsible for 100-150 acres of hay, manure spreading and infrastructure.”
“I wear a lot of hats,” he said.
The non-profit sanctuary, located in Guelph, Ontario, is the brainchild of Sandra and David Pady who started the operation in 1992. The 100-acre property takes in donkeys, mules and hinnies who have been neglected or abused, and helps them heal so the animals can live out a happy and healthy life.
Though donkeys are mainly seen as a pet or companion animal, Bowman said some donkeys have a natural aggression towards canines and could protect other farm animals from potential predators.
Farms.com would like to congratulate Adam on winning the chainsaw!
