USMEF awards Nick Giordano, Mark Jagels in Tucson

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) is set to honor Nick Giordano and Mark Jagels at its Strategic Planning Conference on November 7 in Tucson, Arizona.

Giordano will receive the Michael J. Mansfield Award, named after a significant figure in promoting U.S. international trade relations. Jagels will be presented with the USMEF Distinguished Service Award for his tireless efforts in the red meat industry.

Giordano's extensive career at the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) saw him at the forefront of major trade deals that have been pivotal in making the U.S. a leading pork exporter. He shared, “The best career decision I ever made was to join NPPC," emphasizing the evolution of U.S. trade dynamics that he witnessed firsthand.

Mark Jagels, hailing from a deep-rooted farming background in Nebraska, significantly influenced USMEF's strategies through his leadership roles, fostering global demand for U.S. red meat. His collaborative approach at USMEF has been vital in integrating various sectors of agriculture to support and expand meat exports.

The achievements of both Giordano and Jagels underline the importance of strategic trade agreements and partnerships in advancing the U.S. agricultural sector on the world stage. Their dedication and leadership have not only benefited the U.S. meat industry but have also supported countless American farmers and producers in reaching international markets.

This year's conference will not only recognize these leaders but also focus on future strategies to sustain and grow U.S. meat exports. Further information about the conference and its highlights will be available through the USMEF website.
