This is the 61st showing of the annual conference.

Coming this February 19, 2025, it’s the 61st annual Southwestern Ontario Pork Conference, held at the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph.

This year’s conference is “Maximize Production, Profitability and Mental Health,” with new ideas in competitiveness, benchmarking, and so much more!

“It’s all about keeping the producers informed in a social environment and providing a place for industry reps to visit with their customers,” stated Darren Sloan, the Chair of the 2025 SWOPC Planning Committee.

Sloan said that the conference is fortunate to have industry sponsors to help bring such a great program to the area producers. Conference attendees should plan to spend time visiting industry partners at the conference trade show area while enjoying complimentary coffee and refreshments before the program begins at 4 PM.

The conference program includes producers Derek Van den Boogaard and Graham Learn, Joanne Sanderson from the Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association, Diane Bergsma with Three Oaks Respite Cabin, Ryan Tenbergen from Demeter Veterinary Services, and Kevin Grier of Kevin Grier Market Analysis and Consulting.

Take part in the event to learn the latest and most up-to-date pork production information. The conference has lots to offer, and all pork producers should plan to attend.

Registration opens on December 1, 2024. Conference information and registration can be viewed at www.ridgetown.com/swopc. Registration includes all the day’s activities plus—what else?—a delicious pork dinner.
