In August, at the New Holland product launch during the 2014 Farm Progress Show outside of Boone, Iowa, farmers got to see a new line of combines including the largest New Holland combine ever introduced - the 2015 CR10.90 Elevation Combine.
Nigel Mackenzie, Marketing Manager Combines and Heads, presented the features of this new top of the range model. The CR 10.90 Elevation boasts the highest horsepower available in the market - 653 HP - and features a Tier 4A ECO Blue engine with SCR Technology. This powerful new combine is equipped with the Diesel Of The Year® 2014 Cursor 16 engine which features common rail diesel technology for precision fueling and outstandingly responsive performance resulting in constant, high productivity in all field conditions.
What does this mean for the farmer? The ECO Blue technology delivers fuel efficiency for lower operating costs and there's plenty of range too with a 340-gallon fuel tank.
There is an extra-long 10-meter folding unloading auger and the grain tank has a 410 bushel capacity. The company reports an unloading speed of up to 4.0 bushels/second, and with all this - a 15 percent boost in productivity.
Nigel was proud to show off New Holland’s Harvest Suite Ultra Cab that features changes in the cab that are the result of gathering feedback from customers. The upgraded cab is 131 cu. ft. and is larger than its predecessor and the interior layout is entirely redesigned.

The new force-based CommandGrip multifunction handle is designed to make it easy to fine-tune harvesting speed to optimize performance.
Tracking combine operation gets help from the 10.4-inch IntelliView IV color touchscreen monitor. And the monitor is fixed on rollers so you can change its position for most comfortable operation. And an optional second display is available so operators have the maximum amount of information available.
The new cab also has more glass with 68 sq. ft. and a sloping flower that meets the front windscreen for improved visibility. And the design gives you a clear view of the header.
The new machine also has a new lighting package for late-night harvesting, and an unloading auger light for precision unloading. Four rear work lights also light up the work area.
