Texas Joins FieldWatch to Enhance Crop and Beehive Protection

New Partnership for Safer Agriculture Practices

Texas is now part of FieldWatch, a web-based agricultural mapping tool that helps farmers, beekeepers, and pesticide applicators improve communication and reduce pesticide-related risks.

As the 27th member state, Texas now offers its agricultural community access to FieldWatch’s digital tools to prevent pesticide drift and protect vital crops and beehives.

Through secure and voluntary registries like DriftWatch™ and BeeCheck™, Texas beekeepers and farmers can now map their fields and hives, ensuring pesticide applicators have accurate information before spraying.

FieldCheck®, a mobile-friendly portal, allows applicators to make informed decisions, reducing the risk of accidental pesticide exposure to sensitive areas.

“The goal is to get beekeepers and crop producers registered through FieldWatch, so applicators can access accurate information before spraying,” said Bob Walters, President and CEO of FieldWatch.

The Texas Department of Agriculture played a key role in bringing FieldWatch to the state, recognizing its potential to improve farm safety and protect livelihoods.

FieldWatch has been a leader in agricultural mapping tools since 2008. Its mission is to enhance communication and promote responsible stewardship in agriculture.
