Canada is currently in the midst of updating its Equine Code of Practice, which served as best practiced for equine care across the country. The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) is conducting a second survey in order to gain additional input on the revisions of the code. The code will be scientifically informed and will also bring together expertise from the equine and horse industry. The NFACC is overseeing the completion of a multi-year project to update the Codes of Practices for a number of farm animals including, beef, swine, and dairy just to name a few.
