A Streetsboro, Ohio barn fire that occurred early on the morning of Nov. 26 killed 12 horses.
According to the Streetsboro Fire Department’s Facebook page, firefighters were called around 4:15 a.m. to Sahbra Farms on Diagonal Road. A leased barn located on the south side of the farm was lost in the fire, along with 12 horses and three rabbits.
After the blaze, Jennifer Lowther, who owned the animals, took to social media to express her sadness as a result of the loss.
In her post, Lowther also wrote that Sahbra Farms isn’t to blame for the fire and called the incident a “terrible freak accident.”
According to Fox 8 News, investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

No other injuries have been reported. No dollar figure on the extent of the damage has been released.
In a show of support, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help Lowther move on after the fire.
“Donations would be greatly appreciated to help her recover from her terrible loss as well as help bury her beloved fur babies and assist with clean up!” the page says.
The page set a goal to raise $3,000 and at publication time has raised $1,235.
