CR10 Combine Equipped with Advanced Corn Head Technology

At a recent unveiling in North America, New Holland introduced the CR10, a next-generation combine that follows the technological advances of the CR11.

J Cole Sanford, a cash crop product specialist at New Holland, provided Farms.com with an overview of its CR10 and its new 9200 Series headers.

Sanford explained that these new combines integrate sophisticated engineering to significantly reduce the total cost of harvesting.

“A high-capacity header is needed for a high-capacity combine,” says Sanford. “This header is compatible with any CR—CR flagship or CR next-gen.”

The 12-row and 16-row 9200 Series corn headers are the industry’s largest in terms of auger diameter, designed to enhance the combine's capacity to manage and process high volumes of crop efficiently.

The 9200 series corn head, equipped with innovative features such as adjustable deck plates and a state-of-the-art chopping unit, allows for precise and flexible crop handling.

These adjustable deck plates align perfectly with the crop's condition, enhancing the pick quality and minimizing waste.

Moreover, the corn head includes a unique drive system that separates the chopping mechanism from the main unit, allowing for independent control. This flexibility is essential for those who alternate between chopping needs based on the field conditions.

The advanced row unit design, previously introduced in smaller models, has been optimized for the 30-inch size, ensuring durability and consistent performance.

The design also accommodates a tall corn attachment, offering versatility for handling different crop heights, a significant improvement over previous models.

The hydraulically driven auger and divider provides effective solutions for challenging down corn scenarios, ensuring that the material is efficiently fed into the machine.
