Tennessee joined the United States on June 1, 1796.
The exhibit includes 45 photos of farmers, crops and other imagery highlighting American farmers.
The photos include information about who the farmers are, what he or she produces and where they are from.
Other pictures are of items, including the remains of an American flag after Hurricane Rita hit Louisiana. This flag now hangs in a farmer’s barn.
Photographer Paul Mobley, who is known for his portraits of celebrities including Ringo Starr, Luke Bryan and Mike Tyson, captured the images in 2008 on a cross-country tour where he visited farm communities.
“The resulting images show farmers with a strong sense of where they belong in the universe, a close connection to the land and their day-to-day work as it affects the rest of the world,” the exhibit’s description says.
Mobley’s collection of American Farmer photos will tour museums and colleges around the U.S. until 2022.
Farms.com has contacted Mobley and members of the U.S. ag community for comment.
