Major student grant program supporting water food and agriculture innovators
The MIT Water Club and MIT Food & Agriculture Club have announced their annual Innovation Prize, offering up to fifty thousand dollars in grant funding to early-stage, student-led startups working in water, food, and agriculture innovation.
MIT Water is a well-known network at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that supports research, innovation, and policy solutions related to water challenges. Along with the MIT Food & Agriculture Club, the group organizes conferences, showcases, and entrepreneurship competitions that help students turn new ideas into real businesses.
The Innovation Prize brings together creative student teams from across the United States. The goal is to support projects that improve sustainability, food systems, water management, and agricultural practices. Since its start in 2015, the program has provided more than three hundred thousand dollars in funding to thirty winning teams.
To be eligible, at least one team leader must be a student based in the United States. The startup must also have received less than one hundred thousand dollars in previous funding before applying.
