USGC bridges US barley growers with Mexican brewers
A vital connection has been established between Mexican brewers and U.S. barley producers, orchestrated by the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) to support sustainable beer production.
As one of the leading beer-producing countries, Mexico is progressively focusing on sustainable production methods, a venture supported by the high standards of U.S. agriculture.
During a series of meetings arranged by the USGC, procurement teams from a major Mexican brewery explored various U.S. barley farms and facilities in Montana. These visits included a significant educational component at Montana State University, where the biological qualities of U.S. barley ideal for brewing were discussed by Hannah Uhlman, Director of the Barley Malt and Brewing Lab.
