AFBF welcomes new USDA trade leader to vital role
The U.S. Senate has confirmed Luke Lindberg as the Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This position plays a vital role in managing agricultural trade and supporting U.S. farmers in global markets.
American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) President Zippy Duvall welcomed Lindberg’s confirmation, recognizing the importance of his new role during a time of active trade discussions.
"Farm Bureau welcomes Luke Lindberg to his new role at USDA, guiding decisions that impact agricultural trade. Rarely has there been such an active time when it comes to trade discussions and impacts to American farmers, so Luke certainly has his work cut out for him,” said Duvall.
Lindberg brings valuable experience in expanding international markets and ensuring that U.S. agricultural producers receive fair treatment in global trade. His knowledge of trade policies is expected to help advance efforts that benefit farmers and ranchers across the country.
