DeSerranno is bringing multiple years of experience in working within government to the position.
She’s worked for the government since 2005 and since 2019 has served as the assistant deputy minister of analytical services at the provincial treasury board secretariat.
“In this role, she has gained experience in the programs and services offered by all government departments including Manitoba Agriculture,” the government’s announcement says.
DeSerranno will be taking over for the retiring Dori Gingera-Beauchemin, who served as deputy minister since 2013 and worked with Manitoba Agriculture for 43 years.

A former president of the Canadian 4-H Foundation, Gingera-Beauchemin also received the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubliee Medal in 2012. The medal honours significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
Members of the Manitoba ag sector are ready to work with the incoming deputy minister and thanked the outgoing deputy minister for her work.
