New S7 Combines Feature Next-Generation Technology

There’s a new John Deere combine coming in 2025.

And it offers the latest in harvesting technology with major upgrades that bring new efficiency and automation to the field.

Designed with a fresh look inspired by the popular X9 Series, the S7 combines provide much more than aesthetic upgrades.

Farms.com recently met with Nathan Kramer, product marketing manager for combines at John Deere, to learn about this new model year 2025 combine.

Key features include a redesigned operator station and advanced internal systems that make this model a milestone in John Deere's 25 years of STS harvesting innovation.

The S7 Series includes models from the 600 through 900 performance groups, powered by new, efficient engines.

Enhancements extend to a new residue management system and refined loss accuracy sensing, enabling operators to fine-tune settings more precisely for optimal harvesting.

Notable among the new features is a 10% increase in fluid efficiency, allowing the machine to operate longer and more cost-effectively, added Kramer.

This year also marks the introduction of next-generation technology, including Harvest Settings Automation (HSA) and Predictive Ground Speed Automation.

HSA replaces CombineAdvisor, offering a targetless adjustment approach that optimizes settings based on field conditions, allowing operators to begin work immediately without setting specific performance targets.

Predictive Ground Speed Automation, a market-exclusive feature, allows the machine to assess field conditions up to 30 feet ahead, adjusting speed and performance in real-time.

Early field reports indicate that this technology can improve productivity by up to 20%, making it a game-changer for those tight harvest windows.

With the launch of the S7 Series, John Deere introduces not only a machine upgrade but an innovative approach to harvesting. The S7 combines enhanced fluid efficiency and new predictive technologies, setting a new standard for harvest productivity.
