U.S. dairy advocates for government support

Recently International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) conveyed a comprehensive set of policy priorities to the incoming government’s team, highlighting the potential for growth and innovation within the U.S. dairy industry.

IDFA’s membership, encompassing over 300 dairy companies, seeks government intervention to streamline business processes and open new international markets.

"IDFA is pleased to share the priorities of the dairy industry with the government's transition team leaders to build new momentum and drive greater prosperity across the U.S. dairy supply chain," stated IDFA President and CEO Michael Dykes, D.V.M. His remarks underscore the association’s goal of ushering in a 'new golden age' of U.S. dairy, characterized by enhanced productivity and global competitiveness.

IDFA represents a sector that is a cornerstone of the American economy, supporting over three million jobs and generating significant economic output.

Their advocacy focuses on reducing barriers and fostering an environment where the dairy industry can thrive on innovation and access to new markets.

With these strategic priorities, IDFA aims to secure a robust partnership with the government, ensuring the U.S. dairy industry not only survives but thrives in the coming years, benefiting producers, processors, and consumers alike.
