“Through this free, four-hour workshop, participants will cover the topics of stress, depression, anxiety, substance use and how to start a conversation around mental well-being. The workshops are facilitated by one of (the Canadian Mental Health Association’s) mental health professionals using ‘real-life’ examples from agriculture,” an event page says.
During the workshop attendees will also learn about awareness of mental health misconceptions within the ag community, common stressors, how to identify warning signs of stress and the importance of self-care.
Anyone interested in participating in the workshop must register online.
Individuals will be asked to give their names and email addresses.
