Alexis Taylor, the under secretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs, Jenny Lester Moffit, the under secretary for marketing and regulatory programs, and Sarah Charles, the assistant to the administrator in the bureau of humanitarian assistance at the U.S. Agency for International Development, are scheduled to appear at the hearing.
The Senate ag committee has also scheduled three additional hearings.
Discussions on commodity programs, crop insurance and credit will take place on Feb. 9.
A hearing on nutrition programs will occur on Feb. 16, and a hearing on conservation and forestry programs is scheduled for March 1.
The current farm bill, enacted in December 2018, expires on September 30, 2023.
