New Holland’s air hoe drills
By Diego Flammini, Farms.com
It’s a saying used by carpenters, contractors and construction workers alike, “you need the right tool for the right job.”
New Holland Agriculture’s air hoe drills provide farmers with simple and precise seeding functions regardless the condition of the fields themselves.
The air hoe drills come in three sizes, the P2050, P2060 and the P2070.
P2070
The P2070 model allows farmers to have individual depth control on each opener. They can go from 0 – 2 inch seeding depths using increments of 1/8 of an inch.
Its three-rank design and staggered shank layout allow for maximum trash flow without any slowdowns while including a dual pivot arm which keeps the proper opener angle, giving consistent seed depths and faster crop emergence.
Farmers can use their Intelliview monitors to control various functions like hydraulic down pressure right from the cab.
P2050
This model comes in a wide range of widths from 27 – 52 feet. The farmer can choose between many four-bar setups for 7.2, 10 or 12-inch row spacing.
Its frame clearance of 32 inches allows for a flow of heavy residue through the drill. Rear press wheels and front casters provide enough space for residue to flow freely.
The P2050 allows the operator to customize the drill to their specific field needs. Farmers can get 350 pound standard trips or up to 550 pound trips if the field requires it.
P2060
With a working width of up to 70-feet, the P2060 allows farmers to cover maximum ground. When it comes to transporting, all wheels are used making for a smooth and even experience.
Farmers can change their settings to accommodate their seeding styles whether they want to reduce soil disturbance or cut through heavy residue.
