Hanson told CBS4Indy that he’s a lifetime supporter of the GOP but isn’t happy with the party’s recent direction.
He said it took him about two hours to create the messages in his field without using any modern technology.
“I just write it on a small piece of paper and tape it on the hood of my old tractor,” he said. “It has no cab or GPS on it. It has a three point disc on the back of it, and you just let it down at the right time and keep plowing.”
The 75-year-old said he’s got two more messages planned for next week and hopes his tractor can hold up until after harvest so he can continue to use his field as a canvas.
