Farms.com media has just learned that a 44- year old farmer near Minto, Ontario was in a farm accident with his combine and had been rushed to hospital Friday evening. The unidentified farmer was taken to Palmerston hospital and then was later transferred to St. Joseph’s in London, Ont. suffering severe injuries. Police reports indicate that the farmer was harvesting beans at the time of the accident – when beans started to lodge in the combine engine, the farmer tried to clear the logged engine while the combine was still running and as a result his hand got stuck. The farm field was located on Ayton Road.
