After the June 15 deadline, ten semifinalists will be selected and announced by August 4. These semifinalists will compete virtually, and four finalists will be invited to pitch their ideas at the AFBF Annual Convention in January 2026, to be held in Anaheim, California.
Winners from previous years include Barn Owl Precision Agriculture and Gripp, both of which developed tools that support farmers in planting, weed control, and communication.
To qualify as a top 10 semi-finalist, applicants must be members of a local Farm Bureau. Those not yet members can join by visiting the Farm Bureau’s official website.
The competition is supported by Farm Credit, Bayer Crop Science, John Deere, Farm Bureau Bank, Farm Bureau Financial Services, and T-Mobile.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 15.
