CYL finalists are provided with a mentor for eight months in either the CYL Professional or Industry Leader mentorship categories. The professional mentorship pairs candidates with agricultural professionals and allows them the opportunity to get a jump start on the beef-related career of their choice. The industry leader mentorships also pair finalists with an appropriate industry representative, this time in a specific policy area of interest, such as animal health, international trade, international and domestic marketing, environment, research or advocacy.
The semi-finalists for the CYL program will be judged based on their applications, and the finalists will be announced at the CYL Spring Forum, March 21 – 22, 2014, in Calgary, Alberta.
