By Ryan Ridley
Managing Editor, Precision Agriculture Digital Digest
We’ve come a long way and covered a lot of ground since the introductory issue of the Precision Agriculture Digital Digest in December 2020.
We started this online magazine to cover sessions from the Farms.com Precision Agriculture Conferences, but it has since grown to become much more as precision ag continues to grow and evolve.
We still cover the informative and often ground-breaking sessions from the Farms.com Conferences, and now pair that with content on other ag tech advancements, artificial intelligence, improved techniques, investments, discoveries, videos, and more.
We’ve discussed data, agriculture from space, artificial intelligence, autonomy, robotics, fertilizer, as well as all kinds of farm machinery—planters, sprayers, combines, tillage, balers—soil sampling and soil compaction, the evolution of precision ag, livestock fertility, precision ag market projections and more.
We’ve connected with companies like John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, AGCO, Precision Planting, Kuhn, CLAAS, Syngenta, Climate FieldView, Trimble, Raven Industries, Planet, Microsoft, Carbon Robotics, 360 Yield Center, Verge Agriculture, and many, many more.
And hopefully, we have provided you with precision ag and ag tech information that inspires, motivates, and helps you to improve your bottom line.
As we move into the next chapter of the Precision Agriculture Digital Digest, we will continue our pursuit of covering the latest and greatest this fast-paced and constantly evolving industry has to offer.
In Issue #10 — we explore the first agriculture focused satellite constellation, discuss tractor autonomy kits, dive into custom-built sprayers, chat about natural language processing in ag, examine new planting technology, provide updates from the recent National Farm Machinery Show and more.
