Agricultural companies from Denmark hope to connect with farmers at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show

Seven agricultural companies from Denmark will showcase their products for the first time at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show (COFS) in Woodstock, Ont. The companies aim to introduce their product and service offerings to Canadian farmers, and ultimately strengthen business ties between the European country and Canada.

“Canada is well known on the global stage for its superior agricultural industries, and forging new business opportunities is a win-win for both countries, as well as their economies and citizens,” Morten Siem Lynge, Head of Mission, Consul and Trade Commission for the Royal Danish Consulate General said in a release.

Participating agribusiness will be grouped together in the new Danish Pavilion on COFS grounds. The Royal Danish Consulate General and the Danish Trade Council are organizing the delegation. The majority of the exhibitors have a strong focus on livestock production, specifically swine. According to COFS, the Danish companies are the only international exhibitor at the show.  

“We are proud to have been selected by Denmark as a hub for doing intentional business,” Stefani Nagelschmitz, COFS Farm Show Lead said in a release. “The Pavilion will be a great place for Canadian farmers to see what innovative ideas and technologies are available to them beyond our borders.”

Participating companies include:

• AgroPark – a research and business centre for agricultural entrepreneurs
• ACO Funki – a company that specializes in swine housing equipment and feeding systems
• Stjernholm – a company that focuses on products for the dairy industry (separating sand from manure)
• Animal Care – a company that sells heating systems for hog barns
• Scagro – a company that specializes in feed additives for livestock rations
• Domino – a company that will be showing its swine housing equipment and some cattle products
• Jyden – a company that deals with ventilation and housing equipment

There will be a lunch and learn session hosted by the Royal Danish Consulate General on Sept. 9^th and 10^th from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Sandwiches and drinks will be served. It will be an opportunity for farmers to learn about business opportunities with the seven Danish agribusiness companies. The three-day show takes place from Sept. 9 - 11 and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
