8 Times Farmers Demonstrated to Support Ag

French Farmers - Policies

In November 2019, French producers drove about 1,000 tractors into Paris and placed hay in the streets in response to government policies they felt targeted farmers.

These policies include banning glyphosate by 2021, trade deals that hurt the industry and the overall portrayal of ag to the country.

“We’re the new scapegoats. As soon as something goes wrong, it’s the farmer’s fault,” Jean-Yves Bricourt, a French industry rep, told Reuters. “We’re treated like criminals.”
