Wendel Clark grew up on a beef and grain farm in Kelvington, Sask., where he learned to drive tractors and combines. He describes his rural upbringing in his book Bleeding Blue: Giving My All for the Game. Clark highlights how his parents’ work ethic and dedication helped him on the ice.

During his 18-year NHL career, Clark scored a total of 367 goals. He also spent 1,690 minutes in the penalty box during his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Quebec Nordiques, Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
