Sheep Farming: Moving Sheep In Hot Weather/July 20, 2022
Another scorching day at Ewetopia Farms! A customer came to pickup a load of Suffolk ewe lambs and a ram for a long journey back to their farm. You have to carefully monitor sheep when they are being transported distances but more so in extremely hot conditions. We talk about what to expect and how to make the stress more bearable for sheep traveling in the heat of summer. As we do chores, we look at the animals to make sure they are coping okay with the hot weather. We end with a visit with the rams to see how they are doing as well.
