Video: Developing Novel Technologies for Managing Herbicide-Resistant Wild Oat in Wheat

Wild oat is the second most common weed in Saskatchewan and is becoming more common because of herbicide resistance. The overall objective of this research project is to develop an effective weed control system for herbicide-resistant wild oat in wheat.

In this video, University of Saskatchewan Research Officer Eric Johnson explains how this project will examine several methods of weed control for resistant wild oat in wheat. This project has been funded by the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission, the Alberta Wheat Commission, and the Government of Saskatchewan through the Agriculture Development Fund.
