Alexerin Dairy Inc. is located near Osgoode Ontario in a flat plain. The area has challenges to overwinter alfalfa and winter wheat due to frost heaving. Switchgrass is a promising perennial crop solution for areas experiencing frequent crop loss over winter. Todd discusses his first year seeding of RC Big Rock switchgrass and its potential use as dry cow feed, physically effective fibre and bedding for his herd.
