Hay Conditioner
A hay conditioner is an agricultural machine that crushes fresh cut hay to encourage it to dry faster. Dry hay is important for the next step in the process - bailing the hay. The conditioner is made up of two rollers which the hay is fed through that force the stalks to split - allowing it to breathe. Hay conditioners are almost considered obsolete as the hay conditioner process has now been incorporated in as a feature into haybines. In some cases, bailers have devise that allows the hay to be treated which is similar to a conditioner, but only helps with storage keep. If required hay conditioners can be purchased used - as new models are no longer being made.
