Cattle Head Gates for Sale

A cattle head gate is located at the end of a cattle chute and will stop the animal from proceeding through. This allows a farmer to work on an animal for tagging, vaccinating, medical purposes etc. There are many options available for a self-catching head gate, which allows the farmer to work alone or with less assistance. While this is a great feature, it is not always the best option for your operation as slower, calmer animals can activate the head gate before they are in the correct position. In these instances, there are manual head gates. One feature available for head gates is a neck extended which will hold the animal still and give the farmer more control when working in that area.
