The University of Tennessee Center for Profitable Agriculture has welcomed Shelby Corwin as a new UT Extension Assistant focused on value-added dairy enterprises.
A native of Medina, in West Tennessee, Corwin is a 2021 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness. Her position is funded as part of the Southeastern Dairy Business Innovation Initiative (SDBII) within the UT Institute of Agriculture.
Rob Holland, director of the UT Center for Profitable Agriculture, is pleased to have Corwin join the Center’s efforts. “Tennessee agriculture continues to show growth in farm-based, value-added enterprises. We are thrilled to have Shelby providing leadership for important educational events and resources that are aimed at enhancing the value-added dairy sector.”
Corwin is excited about the opportunity as well. “Not only getting to meet individuals in the agriculture community, but also learning about their operations and educating them on programs that we have to offer is super exciting,” she says.
