Reductions were primarily reported for unknown destinations (53,300 MT), China (35,000 MT), and the United Kingdom (9,700 MT). For 2018/2019, net sales of 200,200 MT were primarily reported for unknown destinations (62,800 MT), Indonesia (50,000 MT), and Nigeria (48,000 MT). Exports of 428,100 MT were up 30 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were to Iraq (105,000 MT), Mexico (104,100 MT), Japan (59,600 MT), Chile (49,500 MT), and Guatemala (33,500 MT).
Corn: Net sales of 898,300 MT for 2017/2018 were down 34 percent from the previous week and 50 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for South Korea (195,400 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 9,000 MT), Mexico (193,100 MT, including decreases of 15,100 MT), Taiwan (176,000 MT), Japan (135,500 MT, including 57,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases 12,900 MT), and Saudi Arabia (77,400 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,600 MT). Reductions were primarily reported for unknown destinations (187,800 MT). For 2018/2019, net sales of 11,000 MT were reported for Mexico. Exports of 1,265,700 MT were down 8 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea (331,400 MT), Japan (260,500 MT), Mexico (165,200 MT), Spain (138,500 MT), and Taiwan (87,700 MT).
Optional Origin Sales: For 2017/2018, new optional origin sales of 70,000 MT were reported for South Korea. Options were exercised to export 68,000 MT to South Korea (68,000 MT) from the United States. The current optional origin outstanding balance of 783,000 MT is for South Korea (484,000 MT), unknown destinations (179,000 MT), and Vietnam (120,000 MT).
Barley: No net sales were reported for the week. Exports of 600 MT were reported to Japan (500 MT) and Taiwan (100 MT).
Sorghum: Net sales of 5,000 MT for 2017/2018 resulted as increases for China (71,000 MT, including 66,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by reductions for unknown destinations (66,000 MT). Exports of 173,100 MT were down 18 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destination was China.
Rice: Net sales of 66,100 MT for 2017/2018 resulted as increases for Haiti (32,000 MT), Japan (26,000 MT), Mexico (5,600 MT), and Liberia (5,300 MT), were partially offset by reductions for Colombia (15,900 MT). Exports of 76,300 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and up 17 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were Iraq (31,500 MT), Haiti (15,200 MT), Japan (13,300 MT), and Colombia (5,600 MT).
Soybeans: Net sales of 1,133,000 MT for 2017/2018 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 7 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for unknown destinations (610,400 MT), China (137,400 MT, including 63,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 66,000 MT), Bangladesh (108,300 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,700 MT), the Netherlands (76,300 MT, including 66,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Taiwan (59,100 MT, including decreases of 200 MT). Reductions were reported for Mexico (14,500 MT). For 2018/2019, net sales of 358,200 MT were primarily reported for China (255,000 MT) and unknown destinations (91,000 MT). Exports of 579,800 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (205,400 MT), Mexico (86,100 MT), the Netherlands (76,300 MT), Egypt (55,000 MT), and Bangladesh (53,800 MT).
Export for Own Account: The current outstanding balance of 12,200 MT is for Canada.
Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 414,300 MT for 2017/2018 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Soybean Oil: Net sales of 43,500 MT were up 26 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were reported for Peru (12,000 MT), South Korea (10,000 MT), unknown destinations (6,000 MT), and Venezuela (6,000 MT). Exports of 18,800 MT were down 38 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Guatemala (5,100 MT), Colombia (5,100 MT), and Jamaica (3,500 MT).
Cotton: Net sales of 367,600 running bales for 2017/2018 were up 21 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.
