The USDA Crop Progress Report was released and the US Corn and Soybean harvest continues at a strong pace, ahead of the five year average.

USDA Crop Progress Report Highlights.

The 2015 U.S. corn and soybean harvests continue to move faster than normal.

As of Sunday, 59% of U.S. corn is harvested, compared to the five year average of 54%, and 98% has reached maturity, compared to 96% on average. 68% of U.S. corn is in good to excellent condition, unchanged on the week.

77% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 68% typically for this time of year, and 96% are dropping leaves, matching the normal pace.

76% of winter wheat is planted, a little slower than average, and 49% has emerged, slightly slower than last year, but otherwise right on schedule.

40% of U.S. pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape, down 3% from a week ago.
